overview the files section provides an area for uploading files to the vsan, allowing iso files, drive images, vm definition files, etc to be easily accessible for creating/installing/importing vms upload a file from your local computer from the top menu , click files from the left menu, click upload click choose files browse to the desired folder and select the desired file(s) ℹ️ holding down the ctrl or shift key allows for multi selection click open click start an upload progress popup window will appear showing the upload progress from this window, the upload(s) can be canceled or paused if needed when the upload operation is complete, the file(s) will display in green in the upload progress popup do not refresh your browser window will uploads are in progress it will interfere with the file upload process upload a file from a url from the top menu , click files from the left menu, click upload click from url set url of file to download to a valid web url example https //example com/downloads/file iso set file name optionally, set file description to provide additional information about the file the allow insecure ssl links to be used option will permit the download from sites without a valid ca signed certificate (e g missing, invalid, expired, self signed, etc ) the skip header check option bypasses standard header security validation policies which may improve upload time but may potentially increase data integrity and security risk use with caution click start an upload progress popup window will appear showing the upload progress when the upload operation is complete, the file will display in green in the upload progress popup create a download link for a file the files section allows the user to create a publicly available link to download a file directly from the hypervisor from the top menu , click files select the desired file from the list from the left menu, click add public link select a link format anonymous (uuid) creates a public download link using a guid (128 bit number) example https //contoso korgrid com/273b5d6a b205 1e1b 6ae6 01cfa7ed1233 custom creates a public download link using the name entered example https //contoso korgrid com/customfilename use file name (recommended) (recommended) creates a public download link using the original filename example https //contoso korgrid com/file iso select expiration type never expire (default) will make the download link perpetual links can be manually edited or deleted later if desired set date set a specific date/time to automatically delete the download link click submit once submitted, the files list will appear download options appear on the far right of the given file click link to directly download the file from the page click 📋 to copy the link to the clipboard
