Certificates
Overview
The management UI requires HTTPS and must be configured with at least one TLS certificate. By default, a self-signed certificate is included. The platform supports both Let's Encrypt or manually installing a certificate from any other Certificate Authority (CA). The platform supports multiple server certificates allowing a greater degree of flexibility, security, and resiliency.
Default Self-Signed Certificate
Upon provisioning, a self-signed certificate is automatically generated.
This certificate should be kept in place for local access and recovery/fallback.
Request a Let's Encrypt Certificate
Let's Encrypt is a globally trusted, open Certificate Authority (CA) that provides free TLS certificates to secure websites. Its root certificate is trusted by nearly all modern browsers and operating systems. Learn More.
- From the Top Menu, click System -> Certificates
- From the left menu, click New
- Certificate Type, select Let's Encrypt
- Enter the FQDN assigned to your tenant (e.g., customer.west1.korgrid.com)
- Select the desired Contact User
⚠️ Ensure the desired user has a valid email address configured.

- Toggle Agree to TOS
ℹ️ This will automatically accept the Let's Encrypt Terms of Service.
- Click Submit
